Harvest Nothing 64 is an attempt to duplicate the video game Harvest Moon 64 created by Victor Interactive Software and published by Natsume for the Nintendo 64 in 1999. I started this project during the Mini Ludum Dare 64 with the aim to learn how to use GameMaker:Studio and its language GML. This project has absolutely no commercial goals, I don't own rights on this work, it just serves as a base to discuss technical topics and game design choices.

I work on this project in my spare time and I write regularly on my blog about my progression and particular points on programming or game design. I use the software Tiled as map editor in place of the one integrated in GameMaker:Studio, the link between the two is made through TiledToBinary, a software that convert Tiled files in a binary format structured for GameMaker:Studio (below there's a link to the site of this tool).

Soon I'll add a roadmap on this page which I'll update at each progress made. For the moment the game's architecture is fixed, the inventory system is fully implemented and I'm working on the export from Tiled to GameMaker:Studio.
